Your Voyagers of Nera Server Hosting Control Panel

Early Access means regular patches, and the panel is built for that rhythm: restart in one click, read the log, take a snapshot first and roll back if a new build misbehaves.

One-click restart

Treehouse asks dedicated server owners to restart after a patch so players on the new version can connect. It is one button here.

Commandline Manager

Set the server name, password and player limit in a form instead of a startup script.

File Manager and SFTP

Reach the server's save and settings files in the browser, or move a whole world over SFTP.

Backup Manager

Snapshot the world before an update lands, so a broken patch costs minutes rather than a village.

Scheduled Tasks

Set a nightly restart for the small hours, with a snapshot taken just before it.

Web Console and Log Viewer

See your crew connect and catch start-up errors after a patch, with the log ready for our support team.

Voyagers of Nera in Early Access: Updates on Your Server

Voyagers of Nera entered Steam Early Access on 16 September 2025 and celebrated its first anniversary in September 2026. Treehouse ships regular patches, so a hosted server has to keep pace with them. This is where the game stands as of October 2026.

Memory, sized for you

RAM for Voyagers of Nera Server Hosting

Treehouse gives no memory guidance for its server, so the RAM bundled with each plan is our sizing for an Early Access world that keeps growing: 8GB on 4 slots, 12GB on 6 and 16GB on 10. Bigger tiers at checkout are optional.

  • Up to 4 players

    Plan: 4 Slots
    RAM included: 8GB

When to add more: Rarely. Look again after a large content update.

  • 5 or 6 players

    Plan: 6 Slots
    RAM included: 12GB

When to add more: If the crew spreads across several islands at once and the graph runs high, try 16GB.

  • 7 to 10 players

    Plan: 10 Slots
    RAM included: 16GB

When to add more: A full crew exploring in different directions can use 20GB after big updates.

Memory on the order form runs from 8GB to 32GB (8, 12, 16, 20, 24 and 32GB). Upgrading later from the client area leaves the world untouched.

Built for crews

Voyagers of Nera Server Hosting Features

What a crew sharing one ocean gets the most use from.

Always at anchor

The world stays online between sessions, so whoever logs in first can carry on the voyage.

Ready for patch day

Restart in one click after an update, which is all Treehouse asks of server owners.

Snapshot before you sail

Save a backup before a new patch or a risky trip and restore it in a few clicks.

DDoS protection

Floods of junk traffic are scrubbed upstream, so one bad actor cannot sink an evening at sea.

5.0GHz CPUs, NVMe drives

High clock speeds keep the world responsive while the crew is split between islands and underwater ruins.

Private by password

Keep the server to your crew with a password, or leave a slot open for new friends.

Before you set sail

Voyagers of Nera Server Hosting Essentials Before You Order

A few things to know before the first voyage on your own server.

  1. Ten is the ceiling

Steam lists up to 10 players per server. Size the plan to the crew, not to a wider Discord.

  2. Restart after patches

When Steam updates the game, restart the server. Players on the new build cannot join an old one.

  3. Back up before updates

Early Access patches change systems. A snapshot first means you can step back if something breaks.

  4. Share the name and password

Give the crew the server name and password from the panel, and keep them out of public channels.

  5. Expect change

The game is in Early Access until a full release Treehouse targets for 2027, so features and balance will keep moving.

Answers

Voyagers of Nera Server Hosting FAQ

Short answers to what crews ask us before their first voyage.

Getting started

How quickly is my Voyagers of Nera server ready?

Setup is automatic. As soon as the payment goes through the server is built and your login is emailed, so expect to be at sea within minutes.

How many players can join?

Up to 10, the limit Steam lists per server. Our plans on this page offer 4, 6 or 10 slots, with 8 also on the order form.

Which location should I choose?

Use the ping test on this page from your gaming PC and pick the lowest number that works for the whole crew. Every one of the 9 locations has the same price.

Can I make the server private?

Yes. Set a password in the panel and restart. Only players with the password can join.

Updates and Early Access

What do I do when Voyagers of Nera updates?

Restart the server. Treehouse's patch notes tell dedicated server owners to restart after an update, otherwise players on the new version cannot connect. Take a backup first if the patch is a big one.

Is Voyagers of Nera finished?

No. It has been in Steam Early Access since 16 September 2025, and Treehouse's Steam FAQ gives 2027 as the full release target. Expect content and balance to keep changing.

Will console players be able to join?

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions were announced for early 2027. Treehouse has not yet said how console players will connect to dedicated servers, so we will update this page when it does.

Does the game support mods?

Treehouse does not document official mod support. A hosted server runs the game as Treehouse ships it.

World and backups

Can I move my world to this server?

In most cases. Shut the server down, copy the save folder up with SFTP and boot it again. Snapshot the empty server beforehand in case you want to go back, and our support team can help if the save will not load.

How are backups handled?

Snapshots in the Backup Manager are yours to take at any moment, before a patch being the obvious one, and a week of offsite copies sits behind them.

Billing and plans

How much does Voyagers of Nera server hosting cost?

The 4 slot plan starts at €5.82 per month. Switch the term on the plans to see 3, 6 and 12 month prices, which work out cheaper each month.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Yes, from the client area: add slots up to the 10 player limit, or more memory, a faster CPU or a bigger disk. The world is not touched.

Is there a contract?

None. Pay monthly and cancel at any time, or prepay 3, 6 or 12 months for a lower rate.

Why a Crew Rents a Dedicated Server

Voyagers of Nera is a co-op survival crafting game set on a magical ocean. You sail between islands, dive for resources, rescue lost spirits and build a village that refines materials, cooks meals and attracts more spirits. Steam lists online co-op for up to 10 players per server, with friends able to join at any time and take on different roles.

Treehouse gives three ways to play together: one player hosts a game, the group runs a free dedicated server, or the group rents one. Hosting from a player's own game ties the world to that person: when they log off, the voyage ends for everyone. A dedicated server keeps the world running on its own, so the crew can play on different evenings and still find the same village and the same boats waiting. Renting one adds a fixed address, filtered traffic and a support team, without anyone leaving a home PC switched on.

Early Access So Far and the Road to 1.0

The game entered Steam Early Access on 16 September 2025 with three playable biomes, including an archipelago built around a fallen colossus. In June 2026 the Explore the Deep update added underwater ruins, depth mechanics, gathering changes, new enemies and a compendium that records what players learn about the world's lore. In September 2026 the first anniversary brought a free cosmetic DLC that Treehouse says will stay free to download.

Looking ahead, Treehouse's dev blogs have been previewing a patch called Players' Most Wanted, with difficulty presets, Spirit voice-over, editable signs, craft from storage and inventory changes. Treehouse's Steam FAQ gives 2027 as the full release target, and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions were announced for early 2027. Treat all of this as plans that can move; we will update this page as releases land.

  • Now: Windows on Steam, Early Access, up to 10 players per server.
  • Previewed next: the Players' Most Wanted patch, with Relaxed, Standard and Hardcore difficulty presets plus a Custom mode.
  • Announced for early 2027: console versions, and a 1.0 release targeted for 2027.

Patch Days: Keeping the Server in Step

Early Access games patch often, and Voyagers of Nera is no exception. The maintenance patches of 31 August and 3 September 2026, the latter version 0.16.15.48136, both carried the same instruction for dedicated server owners: restart the server, or players on the new version cannot connect. That is the rule to remember.

  1. When Steam updates the game for your crew, take a snapshot in the Backup Manager.
  2. Restart the server from the panel so it picks up the new build.
  3. Join first yourself and check the village and boats look right.
  4. Tell the crew the server is ready, and keep the snapshot until you are sure nothing went wrong.

How Many Slots and How Much RAM

Because the game caps a server at 10 players, choosing a plan is mostly about how big your crew really is. Four slots suits a small group of close friends. Six leaves room for a couple of extra sailors, which suits most crews. Ten is the full complement the game allows, for a crew where every role is filled.

PlanRAM includedTypical crew
4 Slots8GBTwo to four friends on one boat
6 Slots12GBA crew of five or six, several boats
10 Slots16GBA full crew exploring in all directions

Memory steps up with each plan because a bigger crew tends to spread out: one group diving at a ruin, another sailing to a new island, someone at home in the village. Each of those keeps part of the world active at the same time. If the memory graph in the panel sits near your allocation on busy evenings, move up a tier on the order form.

A Shared Village, a Fleet and Rescued Spirits

On a shared server the village becomes the crew's common project. Buildings refine resources, kitchens cook meals and workshops craft gear, and rescued spirits teach recipes and magical abilities. Boats are built rather than found, with sails, cannons, decorations and magical stations added over time. Awakening Elder Spirit shards grants their powers to the whole effort.

  • Agree who looks after which buildings, so resources are not used twice.
  • Name boats for their job, such as a diving boat and a cargo boat, so the crew knows which to take.
  • Leave a note in the group chat before a long trip, in case others need the same boat.
  • Take a snapshot before you sail somewhere dangerous with your best ship.

Backups and Moving a World

In Early Access, backups are cheap insurance. The Backup Manager saves a snapshot on request, a week of offsite copies sits behind it, and Scheduled Tasks can snapshot automatically before the nightly restart. The habit that matters most is one snapshot before every patch.

To bring an existing world over, shut the server down, copy the save files up over SFTP and boot it again, having snapshotted the empty server first so there is a way back. Treehouse publishes its own guide to hosting dedicated servers; it sits on a page that did not load for our automated check, so ask our support team if a file layout does not match what you expect.

What to Compare Before You Rent a Voyagers of Nera Server

Hosting offers for a 10 player game look alike. These details decide how the server feels after a few patches.

  1. Slots against the 10 player capAnything above 10 slots cannot be used. Pay for the crew you have.
  2. Memory includedLook at the RAM inside the headline price and what one more tier would cost you.
  3. Restarting on patch dayYou will restart after most updates. Make sure you can do it yourself, any time.
  4. Backups you restore yourselfEarly Access patches can break saves. Being able to roll back on your own, at once, is worth more than a long feature list.
  5. Location and pingRun a ping test from your own PC, and pick a data centre close to most of the crew.
  6. Billing termsMonthly or prepaid? Check the discount on longer terms and whether a setup fee applies.
