What EA Shut Down and When
EA keeps a public list of the online services it has retired, its Online Services Shutdown list. The entry for this game reads: "February 16, 2023 / Medal of Honor: Warfighter for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3". The entry covers every platform the game was released on.
Two other Medal of Honor games sit beside it on the list with the same date: Medal of Honor, which EA lists as 2011, and Medal of Honor: Airborne. EA's game page for Warfighter explains the general policy: EA may retire online features after 30 days notice, and it publishes the details on its service updates pages.
EA's entry gives a date and the platforms. It does not describe, feature by feature, what stopped working, and we do not fill that gap with guesses.
What We Can and Cannot Confirm
We can confirm what we sell. Our order form offers a Medal of Honor Warfighter server with player slots from 12 to 64, a choice of RAM tiers, 5.0GHz CPUs, NVMe storage, DDoS protection and 9 locations, all managed from our web panel.
We cannot confirm, from EA or from any other official source, that players can still find, connect to and play on a Warfighter dedicated server after EA ended the game's online services. Rather than imply that it works, we ask you to check with support before you order, so you know what to expect for your group.
| Question | What we can say |
|---|---|
| When did EA end online services? | 16 February 2023, on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (EA's list) |
| Can players connect to a rented server today? | Not confirmed by any official source; ask support first |
| Is there an official way to restore online play? | None that we know of |
| Do we offer workarounds? | No |
Questions to Ask Support Before You Order
Our support team answers tickets around the clock. A short ticket before you order saves you money and time. These are the questions worth asking:
- Can players currently connect to and play on a Medal of Honor Warfighter server you host?
- Which version of the game would my players need?
- Is there anything the server cannot do since EA's online services ended?
- If it does not work for my group, what are my options?
If you do order, start on the monthly cycle. It has no contract, and you can cancel whenever you like, so you are not tied to a 3, 6 or 12 month term while you find out whether the server suits you.
Medal of Honor Warfighter in Brief
Medal of Honor Warfighter is a modern military first-person shooter published by Electronic Arts in October 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. EA's 2012 announcement named Danger Close Games in Los Angeles as the developer and Frostbite 2 as the engine. EA's game page describes the game as introducing international Tier 1 Operators in multiplayer, lists the PC version through the EA app, and says players must be 13 or older for online features.
Those online features are what EA's 2023 shutdown entry covers. For that reason this page does not describe Warfighter's multiplayer modes or player counts as if they were still available: we have no official source that they are.
The Plans and What They Include
We show four sizes from the order form: 12, 16, 20 and 24 slots. The two smaller plans include the free 5GB RAM tier and the two bigger ones include 8GB. The order form also sells 14, 18, 22, 26, 28, 32, 48 and 64 slots, and RAM tiers up to 32GB, but without an official source for the game's player limit we do not recommend a size above what you need.
- Hardware: a 5.0GHz CPU and 100GB of NVMe storage on every plan, with faster CPUs, CPU priority and bigger disks as add-ons.
- Locations: the UK, France, Germany, the United States and Australia, at one price.
- Billing: monthly with no contract, or 3, 6 and 12 month terms at a lower monthly rate.
- Support: 24/7 tickets, with optional VIP ticket priority.
Managing the Server
Every Gaming Deluxe game server uses the same web panel. You start and stop the server, edit its config files in the browser, read the log, upload and download files with the File Manager or SFTP, schedule restarts and take backups. Our knowledge base covers each of these, and the same rules apply to every game: stop the server before you save a config change, and take a backup before any change you might want to undo.
Each start begins with an offsite clone of the server for data protection, so the panel can show 0 CPU and memory for 30 to 60 seconds. That is normal. For security, DLL, EXE and BAT files cannot be uploaded over SFTP; support handles those.
Alternatives With Working Online Play
If what you want is a military shooter your group can play online today, we host several. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault server hosting covers the original Medal of Honor, which its community still plays on its own servers. For modern combat, look at Insurgency: Sandstorm, Squad and Arma 3, and for the Second World War, Battalion 1944, Call of Duty: World at War and Sniper Elite 4. They are listed at the bottom of this page.
Whichever you choose, the same advice holds as for Warfighter: if anything about a game's online status is unclear to you, ask support before you order.
What to Check Before You Rent a Medal of Honor Warfighter Server
For a game whose official online services have ended, the usual checklist changes.
- Whether players can connectAsk the host for a straight answer before you pay, not after.
- Short billing termsStart month to month, so you are not tied in if the server does not suit you.
- No unofficial workaroundsBe wary of anyone promising to bring the multiplayer back by unofficial means.
- Support you can reachMake sure there is someone to ask, at any hour, before and after you order.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Help and Next Steps
Start with support if you are unsure.
How this guide was made: based on EA's Online Services Shutdown list and EA's game page for Medal of Honor Warfighter, drafted with AI assistance, checked against our live order form for every plan, price and location, and reviewed by Matthew Griffin before publishing. We have deliberately left out anything about the game's multiplayer that no official source confirms still works. Something out of date? Tell us.
