Shared services are what we use to describe non-exclusive hosting.
A shared service is run on hardware that is shared with other customers, meaning the resources of the hardware is shared between any customer on that machine, whereas a dedicated server is for one paying customer only.
- Web Hosting
- VPS - in the sense that they are containers run on the same hardware as other instances.
- Voice Servers such as Teamspeak3 and Mumble
- Game Servers when not installed on a Dedicated Server
We will never oversell on shared services, there may be occasions where services go on to hardware that is approaching capacity, if we notice this, or you notice poor performance, we will move you free of charge to a new location, and may (at our discretion), credit you with some free time.
