    From the datacentre:

    Tomorrow, Sunday 9th March, we have been advised of emergency maintenance being carried out by SSE in Central London, as the result of an vehicle damaging a fibre duct. For the past few hours, we have been testing our secondary circuit which has performed as expected.

    Please consider 12:00 to 23:59 tomorrow to be an at risk period. During this time, our primary circuit will be unavailable for a period of time - expected to be thirty minutes. During this time internet traffic will be routed via our secondary circuit. Brief packet loss may be noted during the change over.

    We will remain in contact with SSE engineers at the job site, and Safehosts' engineers will be present at all of our core network nodes during this time. We will be in a position to inform you (via the ticket system) of when the primary circuit is taken out of service, and when it is returned. We will be able to be more specific regards exact timing as the work progresses, and will keep you informed.

    Latest update.

    We are currently routing internet traffic entirely via secondary link. This does mean we have less capacity than normal, and some clients have noted packet loss. Our next update from SSE will be at or before 15.00
    Please note during this time, ticket replies may be slower than usual

      Another update:

      We apologise to customers who have been experiencing packet loss. Our SSE fibre has been returned to service, and we are using both routes. Please be aware that the primary service remains at risk until 23.59. We will issue an update if the at risk period ends sooner

        Dear Customers

        we can now issue the all clear on this scheduled maintenance by our fiber carrier, we apologise to all those people affected and appreciate your patience in this situation, were very frustrated at how it impacted us, and your services

        We have been advised by SSE that the emergency works have been successfully completed. Our network is performing as normal.
